Excellent chapter and great visuals of everything they are seeing and doing!

This line, though had me giggling for quite a while: "s'OK, Frank!" Jack laughed, head bobbling.

ONWARD! ( to the basement! )

HE!HE!HE!

Author's Response:

We're not off to the basement yet, but thanks! I was wondering if anyone was going to catch some of the jokes, like Kreacher getting Jack all stoned! LOL. First off, we must visit Diagon Alley with poor, bored Colin.

Umm ... I'm not sure I like this idea with Bill Weasley. Of course, it could be a good thing ... or not. Maybe I'm reading something that is not there into it.

It does seem that everyone is getting into the Boxing Day thing ... want to or not. :-)

I never thought of the muggle neighbors that Colin woulds shock. This is gonna get tricky real fast, ain't it? :-)

Thanks for writing. Good chapter!

Author's Response:

When I was writing "Boxing Day" with the part at the Burrow, I knew that Bill was going to be there and would surely have something to day about his nephew doing community service at the WWPS under Greyback. Then it hit me that the "imitation werewolf potion", which cured Freddie of a fatal disease, might be useful as well. Still, I think we're probably going to see Bill and Greyback  at least have words before this is over with. As for Colin, I think it's about time he ran into someone like Mrs. Figg, who is watching him - considering only the staff of Hogwarts knows that he's been brought back. I'm not sure how Kingsley is going to take this one when he finds out.

LOTS of activity going on, all aimed at the school (WWPS), which should make for a REALLY big party once everyone gets there.

Colin stills has me worried a bit, but I'm sure you have a way of working it all out, so I won't fret.

MY knowledge of boxing day is the Victorian custom of the 'gentry' giving the house servants and other staff their Christmas gifts and the day off. Whether they "re-gifted" stuff or bought new, I have no idea . . it was a "noblesse oblige" type thing.

OKAY, onward . . . let's get this party started . . .AFTER they raid Draco's lab!

HE!HE!HE!

Author's Response:

Thanks, as always, Holly. Just wait until the boys break into the mysterious 3rd floor corridor! Sorry, I HAD to use that one. ;-) But no one is going to die a most horrible death. Poor Draco's really the raw end of this deal, isn't he? George billing him 38G, and then he'll be finding out he doesn't have a lab anymore!

This was one of the nicest, most heartwarming, cheerfully, enthusiasticly over the top chapters I've ever read . . and you know I've read a LOT!!!!!

I LOVED IT!!!!!! the House-elves turned loose and relishing every minute of it,(Winky fainting was precious) the true Christmas spirit TOTALLY overflowing the halls/rooms of WWPS, WWW at work in all their glory (Fred would have been so proud!)

It was just bloody brilliantly wonderfull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(can you tell I liked it a bit???) And I KNOW Harry, Hermione and Neville will be at the Ministry ASAP and raise holy h#!! about the conditions!

HE!HE!HE!

Author's Response:

Wow, thanks for that glowing review, Holly! It's Boxing Day in the next chapter, and I'm currently working on the next chapter, where they don't go the Ministry - they bring the Ministry to the WWPS. Kingsley won't be impressed, I'm sure.

Okay, there are clues and hints for Colin to file away for later reflection, but all in all, that was a really sweet chapter.  I mean, for the amount of adjusting he has to be constantly making, he's really going with the flow pretty steadily.  Let's hope no-one rocks the boat too soon.

Now, let's head north, shall we, boys and girls?!

HE!HE!HE!

Author's Response:

Thanks, Holly! Glad you joined us. Yes, Colin is adjusting and we're heading north - where things will get hairy!

Alright, alright, I'm here!

Finally found a few minutes to read and it's , so far, looking to be a great continuation of the story.

I'm really conflicted about not telling Colin the truth, too.  Yeah, they can fudge on the 20 year coma bit and just try to catch him up, but already he's sensing something's not quite kosher.

Soooooo, I'm gonna keep on reading!

ONWARD!

HE!HE!HE!

Author's Response:

Yes, and the problem is, the proof of what happened to him is all over the place. That doesn't seem to have occurred to anyone yet, either. What happens when he gets a new copy of Hogwarts: A History and sees his name as a casualty? How's he going to feel when he finds out his hero lied to him? Stay tuned.

Excelent! That was so ... I don't know what to call it. Heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time!

I'm sure Boxing Day will be great!

Author's Response:

I'm glad you enjoyed it. It took me a while to get this one to where I wanted it. Boxing Day sort of runs the gamut from character to character. Of course, it's madness at the Burrow, and Draco will get a rude shock! As always, thanks for the review!

Yup. Colin is gonna work this out. No scars and other stuff that just don't fit. I just hope he doesn't die again.

Great chapter. Looking foreward to the next.

Author's Response:

Rest assured, I'm not going to kill him off.

Yes, this was the first set of clues that he's come back 'perfect'; too perfect. Not sure how I want to do it yet, but I will choose which way I am thinking of. After all, there is History of Magic class. Oh dear, who's teaching it? LOL!

Next up, a look at Gardenstown from Jack's POV, same time frame.

Thanks again for reviewing. I think you may be the only one interested in this.

AWESOME!!!

Thanks for this! I had so hoped that you would continue the story and tell what happened to Colin after he was brought back. Of course you know that keeping secrets from Colin is not going to work. He's not dumb. :)

Author's Response:

Thanks,  Kreacher. Your request and a few others were why I started it. It may be slow going, though.

Of course, it's only a matter of time before things begin to add up for Colin, and only a matter of time before he sees a book, an old paper, the memorial, who knows? And of course, we've already established that Harry has lied to him at the end of Book 1. That's going to hurt when we get to it. Stand by for Chapter 2 this weekend sometime. Chapter 3 will give us some insight into Jack's time with his new Father as well, up north.
