I'm a 68 year old, retired dental hygienist, wife, Mom, Mom-mom, great grandmom, Harry Potter fan. I live in Maryland, USA.
I love reading fanfiction, although I am a bit of a spelling / grammar / punctuation / Canon nazi. I do, however, review EVERY chapter that I read. You have been warned! HE!HE!HE!
I hope you will enjoy my little (?) stories and one shots. I'm a stinker when it comes to cliffhangers, but that's half the fun of reading, isn't it?
Live your life such,
that when your feet hit the floor in the morning,
Satan shudders and says:
"Aw, S#!T! She's awake."
Well, honey, hush!
You just made this old broad blush!
If everyone at this party is so wrapped up with each other that they are totally ingoring the guest of honor, then nobody will have seen her blush and what went on between these two.
Good thing, because Hermione would die of embarassment.
This does sound promising, tho, doesn't it?
Okay, fun seekers, let's toddle on to the next chapter and see if Hermione gets lucky!
Glad to see the story is having an effect on you...as long as it's the RIGHT effect ;)
You know, I've read a AWFUL lot of stories, just PACKED with 'lemons' and NONE of them were as good as this one chapter!
Sweet Mary, Mother of Pearl!
Hermione, your'e on your own, sugar!
I've had to edit your reviews just slightly as all reviews must be 12+....But thank you :)
Glad to see the story can be separated from the rest ;)
THAT'S IT! I AM OUTTA HERE!
You all talk amoungst yourselves, I'm going to go sneak up on my poor unsuspecting husband.
I'll be bakc in a bit. OH, wait, that's the end? Oh well, IF there's more, I'll read it later, if that IS the end of this story, well, you better get your minds out of the gutter . . . so mine can float by!
By the way, what the hell is a "road train"? Is that an Aussie thing? like a truck convoy? ? of the day! HA!HA!
There IS more!! I just haven't posted it yet ;)
A road train is a really LONG truck..mainly used in the outback for frieght. It has 4 to 5 trailers!
Merry Christmas Jessi :) Fabulous banner by Blue_Suede_Shoes at SAYS.
The night of Christmas Eve, Harry is called into his sons room to tell them a story before bed. Wanting to hear something about Christmas, Harry tells them a tale unlike any other and remembers an old friend.
What a lovely story!
I like the Christmas angle of having Dobby integrated, slowly but surely, back into Harry's ( and his family's ) life.
I know it's painful for Harry to think of Dobby, but this is a good way of remembering him, and honoring him, too.
I've never seen this 'ship' before and it was quite entertaining.
Good one shot and a very good ending.
Lookings forward to more stories from you.
Well, I've always written Sybil off as a ditzy old broad, but with this little story, I'm not so sure.
She, at least, had the brains to realize that what was meant to be was not to be interfered with, even to the poiint of letting Albus die. It was his plan and she trusted him to have his reasons and that it was the ONLY course of action.
But she's still got the guilt trip going. Let it go, old girl. He knew what was coming, so he did what he had to. . .and so did Severus.
I love WInky and DObby.
This is a very good explaination of how Winky wound up at Hogwarts, but, as we know, it'll be a thankless, uphill slog to get her to come around.
I was wondering why she popped off to Hogsmeade, of all places? Was it ramdom or did she know someone there?
Well, fate iput here in the right place at the right itme . . . wet but right!
Pssst . . wanna see what happens to them in MY AU? Drop by an take a read, sometime. Dobby's there from the start and Winky shows up in chapter 18 and never leaves.
Thanks you so much. That was such a deeply satisfying read, as it got all of the turmoil that the trio had to face and what was waiting out there for them ( and us ) to get thru and then go on!
I wonder what year those other three were in to NOT know about Harry and Voldemort, in detail. Maybe two generations, maybe Harry's grandkids ages? Unique perspective; made me chuckle.
Great! Now Severus has old Baldie Voldie as his travel agent for his summer vacation.
Severus, old boy, I'd cancel my to AAA membership, if I were you.
Seriously. . . this is one attention grabbing chapter and of cousre, I'll be continuing in a moment or two.
Well, Scarabaecus did his bit, Severus got the scroll, the owels are on their way. . .
it's elf-wine time!
Didn't take him long to figure out the spells he needed did it?
Bet Bill Weasley coulda done it faster...HE!HE!HE!
Well, moving right along, I'm off to read the next chapter!
Hum, never thought about Peeves being bored. I suppose that is a pretty big castle to rattle around in all by your lonesome. At least Dumbledore tries to keep him occupied, because he really could cause a lot of damage if left to his own devices for too long.
Knockturn Alley, the 'value city' of the wizarding world. And Severus drives a hard bargain, too.
What's he hiding from Albus, though? HUM, this doesn't bode well.
I figured that Peeves has been a poltergeist for rather a long time by now, and in the end he always does the same stuff over and over again - so why not have him be bored by it? *lol*
Yes, the plot thinkens, doesn't it? =P
Well, for such a short chapter, that packed in a lot of info.
Severus heading straight to the library. . .wouldn't Hermione be proud! OR jealous! HE!HE!HE!
That goblin just put his head in a noose, didn't he? Nosey git! Maybe it was just a matter of the Kneazle going in the same general direction as Severus, Knockturn Alley being so very narrow. We'll see.
And Severus got the papyrus out, read and translated all in one day...good job!
Now, here comes the tricky bit, what to do with the potion.
Yes, Severus is a clever one... Of course he is, this is my version of him, and I like him this way. *lol*
Thanks again for reading and reviewing!
PEEVES, you snitch! and I don't mean you resemble the Quidditch Snithch, either! MIND YOUR OWN BUISNESS!
And Minerva isn't much better... How many tmes does Albus have to say to trust Severus. It's not an easy thing to do, I realize, but just trust ALbus' judgement, if not Severus, himself.
Back to Egypt? Great, more Muggle tourists to wade though!
Maybe it's good that Minerva isn't all too trusting? You never know. Even Albus can be mistaken. Yep, see you in Egypt!
WEll, in for a knut, in for a Galleon.
Either Severus will be able to fool Baldie Voldie or he'll get caught. 50/50 chance. Even odds. NOT good.
Wonder what the potion WILL do? THAT"S gonna be the interesting bit.
I better keep reading, this is getting good!
WELL,! That was a bloody brilliant explaination of why the potion didn't work as Baldie Voldie had wanted, and he only had himself to blame. Too greedy by half!
Minerva, you better learn to keep your thoughts ( and words) to yourself, or you'll find yourself on the wrong end of Severus' wand!
Albus, you sneaky old codger! Talk about Hermione being an insufferalble know-it-all! HA!
Good story. Will recommend heartily!
Moving on with your life after a loved one has past is hard, trying to live your life and remembering your loved one, all the time, is harder. Ginny fights a battle within herself to keep a promise to Harry while trying to move on with her life. Her promise is holding her back, yet she doesn't want to let Harry down. Will she forever stay trapped somewhere between the past and her future, or will she say goodbye to Harry once and for all? For Jessi_Rose, as she wanted to read stories that would make her cry.
Some times, you move on without too mcuh trouble, knowing that the one you lost is safe and okay.
SOmetimes, you never move on, but grieve eveyday, with every breath you take, Unfortunately, you also can't understand why others don't feel the same way, and you withdraw, out of anger and frustration.
And sometimes, you reach a point where you can say 'enough'.
This was a really good example of that kind of healing.
Harry would understand.
Gorgeous Banner by Marauder By Night at SAYS!
Hermione, Ginny, Harry and Ron find surprising friendships with two of the least likely people and some may end up finding new relationships to pursue.
Hermione would be an ethical journalist, wouldn't she?
Pansy, at the Prophet? Figures.
Draco changed? Okay, I'll go for that, as I believe he always wanted to bget away from the Dark Lord and dark magic.
And Narcissa DID save Harry's life, and I just love her for it, as it backed up MY idea of her, in MY story, written before DH came out. SO there!
Hermoine, girlfirend, you have to just get over it. Everyone else has changed but you're still the pigheaded, know-it-all, who doesn't like change wthout picking it TOTALLY apart, looking for the flaws. LET IT GO!
You're only the odd-one-out becasue you refuse to change. Then you get angry fbecause everyone else is happy. LET IT GO!
This whole chapter was a gigle fest, from one bit to another to another.
Laughed out loud ( my hubby is shaking his head again)
Now I have to keep going, even though it's my bedtime.
I was in full blown ROARING hysterics over THAT little scene.
My hubby was on the phone, trying to arrange my admission to the local 'home for the mildly unhinged', until I made him read it. He didn't get why Draco and Pansy were with the other four, but he got the Lavander/Ron/Pansy part.
We're booking a double room at the 'home'. The rest will do us good.
Now, let's get Draco and Hermione together.
Hermione hates change, especially if it's her that has to do the changing.
What she needs is a good snog . . with Draco . . . in private. . .which isn't going to happen at the Burrow.
So . . . . as soon as the sedding is over, SNOG HER SENSELESS,DRACO!
Rita Skeeter will have a field day with Pansy and Draco being part of the wedding party!
I bet they share their first kiss on the dance floor.
Whatcha wanna bet? Huh? A Galleon? DONE!
what is bugging Hermione.
This is getting really annoying,as I can't see anything wrong, but hermione is usually pretty good , as far a hunchs go.
By the way, Pansy winds up at the Weasleys at the end of mystory, too.
Way to go, Draco. If that doesn't shift her into your arms, nothing will, mate.
Girl talk and giggles. Ah, i remember the good old days, when my friends and I did just about the same conversations about the boys we knew and/or wanted.
Memory lane time . . it's my 40 high school reunion next weekend. Jeez, time goes by like . . . that!
Hermione is in heaven, she's found a library! BOok smart, street stupid. No wonder she can't figure out her relationship with Draco. Bet if it was chapter 1 in a book , she'd readit, re-read it, pick it apart, think about it some more and then, BINGO, she'd get it.
Lucius is a card carrying, certified looney toon. But I like Narcissa.
