Knowing what Era's are!

Seperating Era's can be tricky, so here is my outline 
Marauder - This can be either with the Marauders (James, Sirius, Remus and Peter) at Hogwarts, or their adventures after. It simply just has to be about them.
Pre-Hogwarts - This is pretty large. This can contain the Founders, Ghosts, any other character that is older then Harry and Co.
Hogwarts - This is where Harry and Friends are at school.
Post-Hogwarts - This is after Harry and friends have graduated Hogwarts
Next Generation - Harry's children and beyond.
