Review-A-Thon Competition Winners
by Elena @ 13/06/2008 06:06 pmAs I can only have 1 winner for the major prize, as I can't afford to give out two gift vouchers, I must now split hairs between the two.
When originally signing up for this competition, every member was asked to give a short reason as to why they like Gluttony, this short explanation would be used if a tie couldn't be broken. I love both answers, if I had to pick one over the other though, I'd choose ginwannabe's answer as she mentions having 'top notch' stories on Gluttony, not just that Gluttony is small and has a tight knit community.
However, to be fair to Labby, she also has every right to the title as the winner, as she technically got in her review links a minute (or a few seconds) before ginwannabe did, thus also making her a winner by technicality.
But if it wasn't for the keen eye and fairness of ginwannabe, I wouldn't have seen my mistake, until someone else pointed it out, if they decided to check for themselves, so technically, ginwannabe should also receive the prize ...So what do I do?
I CAN'T break this tie. No matter which way I go, BOTH ladies deserve this prize. Not only did they tie, but they were both such great competitors and really contributed to the reviews at this site.
So first prize will go to BOTH Labby and ginwannabe. As I can only afford one gift voucher now, I shall give that to Labby, as she WOULD have been the official winner and if its okay with ginwannabe, I will also give her a voucher in a couple of weeks time.
This moves JLHufflepuff to second place, with 30 reviews and Jen to third place with 24 reviews.
Congratulations ladies and thank you for being such great members and giving me one of the toughest decisions I've had to make in a competition!!
