How sweet. I love that you have Ron orchestrating the entire thing. So many write him as a bumbling fool, and I found this take on him refreshingly original and dear. I loved that he took all that time thinking and planning for Hermione. That emotional range just graduated from teaspoon to..what? A bucket, maybe? Well done. Very sweet.

A very sweet and engaging slice-of-life story for Hermione and Ron. I especially enjoyed the interaction between Ginny and Hermione, and Ginny's consternation at trying to keep everything secretive.

I thought this was particularly lovely:

“I couldn’t tell you when I realized that I loved you for the first time. But I can remember when I thought I would never get to tell you how I felt..."

Very nice.

I think it's so cute that Ron planned this big surprise. It's something Hermione would definitely appreciate, and it took a lot of maneuvering to get it just right. I've known people who got proposed to in really complex, secretive ways with their family somehow helping out. In some ways, I think it's unrealistic that they would have a surprise wedding - I'd think Hermione would get mad or stressed about having that thrown upon her - or that Ron was really presuming too much... BUT .. we all know that Ron and Hermione are perfect for each other, so that actually WOULD be an amazing dream wedding - getting married in pristine snow without having ever had to plan a thing! woot! Sounds lovely! :)

Author's Response: Thanks for your review. :D I don't know why I made it a surprise proposal/wedding in one. It just felt right. They had talked about it before, so Ron knew that Hermione wanted to get married. And I would love it if my husband had planned everything! ;) Thanks so much for taking the time to read my story!
