I love this.  I love that you wrote the entire thing without dialogue (that is not an easy task for me).  I think you did an excellent job of telling the story without it. And the fact that he chose robes that reminded him of her, and she did the same... poignant and bittersweet, that.  There were a few grammatical errors, but nothing that distracted me away from the wonderment of this story.

Author's Response: Oh, I'm so glad you liked this! :) I actually like writing stories without (or very little) dialogue in them. It kind of allows me to go into deeper descriptions. As I already mentioned in a few other responses, I don't really see Scorpius/Rose having a very happy ending, but I kind of like the thought of both of them still thinking about the other from time to time. Thank you so much for the wonderful and encouraging review. I appreciate it very much! :)

Okay, I get that it's Scorpius and Rose.

I get that he's secluded himself in order to not have to prove he's not like his dad and grandpa.  DUMB move,  his way of dealing with it by NOT dealing with it.

In other words it was easier to not interact with others than just go ahead and be himself and let people find out he's a different person that the old man. Cowardly.

I get his fascinaton with Rose and their slowly learning about each other as people. and their falling in love.

But what happened on the quidditch pitch. HOW was she injured . . what did Scorpius have to do with it. Was it something HE did, accidentally, or was she caught in the middle of a quarrel between Scorpisus and maybe some of the others ( Albus, Hugo, all of the other 'good' kids. Like Severus against the Marauders.) That part was very confusing to me with the lack of details.

Strange story. without the reason for her injuries, it left a hole in the story, at least for me. if anything, his obcession with Rose was worse than Severus' for Lilly.

Doomed, the lot of them.

Author's Response: Hello! Well, I do admit this story is a bit vague at some parts. When I wrote it, back a year or so ago, I had an intention of making a longer story expanding from this oneshot --- using it as a summary of sorts. My fascination with this pairing faded very soon after, so I never really got around to actually write that story. Concerning the puzzling Quidditch pitch scene, it was to be explained in the aforementioned fic, so I might as well fill you in on that one. You've noticed a very important character trait of Scorpius' - he's a coward. He might be nice and accepting and withdrawn - not arrogant like Draco, but, just as the rest of his family, deep down he is a coward. Since the Malfoy family lost a lot of its former reputation, the Slytherins torment Scorpius because they notice he's pretty much of a wimp. As I already mentioned, I never really got around to actually develop that story a bit better, but I did write the Quidditch pitch scene - having a Slytherin beater purposely knock Rose from her broom because he knows about Scorpius' obsession with her. Well, thanks for reading and reviewing! I appreciate it very much... :)

How very sad that their parents past would rob them of a possible future. The Malfoy name had to have been ruined after the war, no longer carrying the prestige and power it used to. Those left carrying Death Eater names were to become outcasts and avoided. Rose, being the daughter of heroes, would not have been expected to mingle with the son of a fallen Dark Wizarding family. There was so much against them from the beginning, really, but their little affair was so sweet. How unfortunate for them both. Very well written.

Author's Response: Hey Shanon! Yeah, I kind of don't see Rose and Scorpius having a very happy ending. Well, maybe once they grew older and free from their parents' influence. From the very first moment the two were hinted of becoming a couple, I kind of imagined their little relationship very secret and very short during their time in Hogwarts. Not only is Rose the daughter of heroes, but I sincerely doubt that Ron ever forgot Draco's treatment of both him and Hermione. Let's not forget that the Malfoys and the Weasleys have this family feud going even further then Lucius and Arthur. Seriously, the two were doomed from the start and I think that's the very reason so many fanfic authors tend to pair them up. They have the classic 'forbidden love' story written all over them... :D This particular story was originally intended to be an introduction of sorts to the longer story I planned to write about them while I was still obsessing over this pairing right after reading DH. I still have some notes for it somewhere, I think... ;) Thank you so much for this lovely review! I appreciate it immensely!

That was so sad! And chilling, too. You wrote it so well - I teared up a little bit. I love the way you've written Scorpius - it seems very symbolic of his father and grandfather, but with his own traits that are far different. A wonderful mix. And I especially LOVE the end! :D

Author's Response: Hi Blaire! Thank you so much for the lovely review. I'm very happy you liked it and it's nice to hear a compliment on my Scorpius. The end is my favorite part of the story as well... :D I just don't see the Scorpius/Rose love story having a happy ending so soon. Maybe once they are older and out of the influence of their families... Thank you, again, so much for the wonderful review. I appreciate it very much...

Wow, I really liked that! It was written very well and it really showed the emotions of the two. I liked how you had their connection and how you developed it as it went along. It was sad to see more family hatred keeping them apart. I thought you did well with the two, but the story was sad the way it turned out. Sad, but well done!

Author's Response: Thank you for your review, Labby! I'm flattered you liked it... ^^rnI don't really see this ship as having a happy ending so I kind of went with the flow here, not really planning it out. There are a few things I would have changed if I were writing it again, though...rnAnyway, thank you for taking time to review, I appreciate it very much... :)

I like the dark, obsessive angst in this fic. I like the way you have Scorpius feeling guilty about the past, and I can definitely see why he would feel super-bad about Rose getting hurt by a Slytherin. I think he went a bit too extreme with his reaction, though. It's almost like he only wanted her because she WAS so bright and untainted.. Poor her .. :( Poor both of them, with their star-crossed love....

Author's Response: Weeee, first review here on Gluttony!! Hehe, thanks for reviewing! :) *hands a cookie*rnrnI'm very into the dark and obsessive angst and I'm glad you liked it! I'm also glad you liked my Scorpius especially because I absolutely adore your portrait of him in VoG... (though I still haven't moved away from chapter one there... damn you, college-work!!)rnrnI've kind of cooled down on this ship... It was a bit of an obsession at first, when I first finished reading DH, but now I'm pretty much indifferent towards little Rosie and little Scorpy... However, this was actually the first Harry Potter fic I ever wrote so it's pretty dear to me and that's why I take upon the oportunity to post it everywhere I can... :prnYou're right, maybe Scorpius was a bit extreme in his action, but I have originally intended this to be a sort of a prequel to a longer story about the two which might have given a bit more of a background to their relationship. I might even write that story eventually, if I get in the Rose/Scorpius mood again...rnrnAnyway, thank you so much for taking time to review...rnrnMuch love!rnrn~ButterflyRogue (Rosie Nymphadora)
