Chapter: Memories
I never ceases to amaze me that , even though the Death Eaters know that Tom Riddle was a half blood, he is accepted as the leader of the very group seeking ot rid the wizarding world of all mudbloods.
This was a very interesting story and I believe is true to canon in that it is just filling in the blanks to parts of the story we all know.
Very, very well done!

This is an interesting look into the making of Severus Snape. Or shall I say the undoing of Snape? He lost his only friend, was betrayed by Narcissa, gained power and a place of influence from Voldemort, and lost everything in the process. The idea of using the pensieve to display different key events in his life was very good. Nice story.

I think it's really interesting how you have Severus and Narcissa as lovers at one point. It builds a sense of tension between Malfoy and Snape in an interesting way... His initiation was very dramatic and tension-filled - I loved it! :) I also really liked the way Dumbledore was viewing the memories with him. At the end, I realized Snape's purpose for showing them, but it was still nice that he felt confident enough to show them to Dumbly.

juls!! This may have only been your 3rd fan fic ever...and I can tell it was written before DH came out, but you did a GREAT job at showing how Snape came to turn sides against Voldemort...loved your theory about his mother. And that you picked that scene from OotP, when it really was an important part of why Snape ended up coming back to the side of the light, genius! I loved the descriptions in here, and the little bit with Narcissa. I'm a tad confused...did Lucius use her to set Severus up? Or is Lucius blind to her feelings for him? Oh, this was just so good. Well, done!

This is certainly a different version of events compared to what we read in The Deathly Hallows. I must admit to a preference for your take on it, especially the characterization of Dumbledore as more benign and accepting of Snape's choices and grievous mistakes. He was unresonably harsh in DH and I'd like to believe he would be more understanding. I have a weakness for any story featuring the Potions Master, especiallly stories that explore the territory of his psyche and motivations. Good work - I look forward to reading more of your writing.
