terrific, 'what if' story
it always amazes me to read a story that could have been part of the series.
this short little jaunt around the lake may have been in JK's notes and was just edited out because of the length of DH.
the addition of the future story line just made it more believable.
thanks
Bloody Brilliant.
Thanks you so much. That was such a deeply satisfying read, as it got all of the turmoil that the trio had to face and what was waiting out there for them ( and us ) to get thru and then go on!
I wonder what year those other three were in to NOT know about Harry and Voldemort, in detail. Maybe two generations, maybe Harry's grandkids ages? Unique perspective; made me chuckle.
This is a very poignant piece. I like the way the new trio mirrors the old trio... It's a nice view of the world after what happened, indicating that there was peace and the world had gone on. I love all the memories and thoughts that the original trio share with each other. Even Ron is sharing his feelings about what they are getting ready to do. There's kind of an exciting yet foreboding feel to this.
What a fabulous story :) I loved the beginning with the students recognising the names if the trio. Make you understand that they all became famous :)
But I totally cracked up laughing when I read this:
Oh no, Hermione, I beat you.’ Ron interrupted quietly, his ears now redder than ever. ‘I used to play ‘Harry Potter’ with Ginny when we were kids. You know, we’d pen scars onto our foreheads and-’. Both Harry and Hermione burst out laughing and Ron scowled to himself.
I was laughing that much, my girls ran over to see what I was laughing about, so I told them and they didn't get it, so I IMed it to Jessi and she laughed!..lol..That was classic!!!
But then you ended it of on a....Happy, yet sad moment. A time that we all wished they could stay for a bit longer and not have to face the evil that was upon them.
Over all, a fantistic piece, I really enjoyed reading this :)
