Chapter: A Run In With Ursa Major
Living out in the country, on an island, like I do, we're away from the ligts of the city and have a very good view of the night sky.
It really is fascinating to watch the stars during the differnt seasons and where they wander to in the sky, so I can see both of theri viewpoints.
I know some of the constillations (sp?) and know how to find the North Star and h ow it was used by the Underground Railroad. I can find Mars and Venus. I've even seen the space shuttle go across the sky.
So, I'm more inclined to agree with Ron on this one. Just enjoy them for what they are, not all the details.
Cute story, tho.

This is adorable! I like that it's so simplistic, not dramatic or angsty or anything; just a nice piece of Ron and Hermione. It kind of offers a puzzle to the reader; its not one hundred percent clear, but that's a good thing, because it makes you rethink it for a second before you're sure you understand. That probably made no sense at all, but either way, I love it! Another great story!

*sigh* I love Ron. I love how he's frustrated and doesn't get it, and I love how he curses the stars. I love how it suddenly hits him like a bludger (or like Hermione, ;o) and then he tries to open her eyes to the real amazing thing about stars. I love how you allude to what they're going through by commenting about her laugh. I love the little conversation with Harry, which was spot on. I love this whole story (as if you hadn't figured it out). I don't think I'd ever read that poem before, but once again, you have taken something, and managed to help me to understand it by putting your distinct spin on it. Fantastic!
Author's Response: And I love your reviews! I'm not a big Walt Whitman fan (I hated the ones I had to read in school, and when I read some on my own I liked them more, which figures ;)) but I really enjoy this poem. It's probably my favorite of his, because who can't relate to just wanting to experience something instead of just being lectured on it? Anyways, I'm very glad you like it, Taryn! Thank you so much for reviewing!

Cute. I have to agree with Ron here... I usually love science in all of it's glory, but when it comes to stars, I prefer the magic... It's kinda like believing that there are fairies in my garden.
Author's Response: Yep, I definitely agree with Ron, as well. I'd much rather just look and appreciate, not analyze and calculate. I'm glad you liked it! Thank you so much for reviewing!
