Poor Severus!  I've always felt that he willed himself to die at the end of DH; he just wanted the struggle ended.  I could absolutely see him as wanting to lie alone, at peace, but even in death he can't escape the mistakes in his past.  A lovely drabble!

I think I read this before, and I'm not sure why I didn't review - maybe it was in a topic on SAYS or something. *shrugs* But I absolutely love it. I always see the poet in you, even in your prose. And drabbles like this never fail to amaze me by the power in their few words. I really love it, Pippi :D Great job!
