Cute and spot-on! A great way to see Snape.

I'm a Hufflepuff, as least as far as can be assurtained by thee'quizzes' I've taken.

And Severus is right, we are thoughtful ( hence the gift), patient ( we don't get upset at his rants and raves, we just listen carefully and glean the info we need from his remarks) .

Equality over distinction - well, what's wrong with that?

THe funny thing is, I knot sweaters and hats and scarves, too. Go figure.

Now, his distruction and disbursmentof the gifts to others was inspired and totally Slytherin ( who do  you think invented re-gifting?!)

Great little story.

Author's Response: Thanks so much.  As a Hufflepuff, I hope you feel that I did that house justice in my description of them.  I really like that house and feel it wasn't tapped into enough.  This is more of a satire of Snape then of the Hufflepuff house.  I just wrote it, because when I really thought about it I'm sure that house got under Snape's skin.  I'm glad you enjoyed Snape's reactions to the gifts.  He's a Grinch with a heart of gold.  Cheers!

Hufflepuffs are the often ignored and underappreciated House, aren't they? They don't have the smarts, bravery, or cunning of the others, they are just all around good guys. Kinda boring. But in a pinch, or on a cold night, one can see the need for a group of good guys once in a while. I love how Severus couldn't throw out the socks and scarf, but wouldn't wear them where anyone else could see. And the hexed scarf for McGonagall was priceless!

Author's Response: Thanks, yeah, I like Hufflepuffs a lot.  I think they are under appreciated in the cannon, but I just didn't see them getting along with Snape, so I had to write this.  I'm glad you enjoyed him keeping the clothes and not wearing them and giving Minerva the scarf.  I had to keep him in character resentful and thankful at the same time.  Thanks for the review.  Cheers!

Hehe!  I'd love to see Snape's face as he received all those gifts.  I must admit... I'm a little bummed that I won't be getting any teacher gifts this year.  Not once have I ever had to say I didn't get anything on Valentine's Day... I wonder if that will hold true now, lol.  I love that he fell asleep wearing the socks and the scarf though.  And I love the nod to Star Trek.

Author's Response:

Thanks, I'm glad Severus' response gave you a laugh.  He's fun to make fun of.  I'm sure you will get a V-day present, you're still working with children afterall.  Honestly I didn't get many gifts in the schools I taught, the children couldn't afford them, so I'm kind of used to it.  Glad you got the ST thing, we Trekkies have to stick together.  Thanks for the review.  Cheers!
