Reviews For Hogwarts Revisited

Honey, you're about to lose more than your appetite!

He may be a Slytherin but he's also a gentleman for sending the letter to make up for Ron's "almost" letter/note and he's turning into almost a good friend.

She'll be there. ( For innumerable reasons )

Betcha!

HE!HE!HE!

Author's Response: Now that was just priceless!! What a great review...lol! And wasn't that a thoughtful gesture from our seductive Slytherin? He certainly knows how to "seal the deal", doesn't he??

Awww....Just awwwwwww....Can I have Draco???

Its funny how the smallest, simplest thing can make us feel so great.

All Hermione wanted or needed from Ron was acknowledgement. I think if Ron did respond to her feelings and gave her support, she wouldn't be 'falling' for Draco :) But of course, we want her to :)

His letter was just....sweet! and his P.S. just made me giggle all over again!!!!

Author's Response: Can't say that I blame you...I wanted him for myself after that letter, too...and I'm the one who wrote it, how crazy is that?! Oh, and the p.s. was stuck in there specifically to make myself giggle, but I really appreciate the fact that you get just as big a kick as I do out of it! :)

TOOK HER HAND!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Next you'll have them eating together and walking down the halls with their arms around each other!

I CAN'T WAIT . . . OH, to see the expression on Ron's face when he hears . . .AND HE WILL HEAR ABOUT IT!

I know I've said this before, but . . I LOVE THIS STORY!!!!!

Mrs Norris, what a pest, but what a hoot!

HE!HE!HE!

Author's Response: Yeah...right now he's marking his territory...getting her so used to his presence that the last bit of her resistance is going to crumble like the walls of Jericho. And the idea of Draco attempting to kick Mrs. Norris across the hall...well, I do have to amuse myself from time to time...heh heh! Thanks so much for following this story so faithfully--I really appreciate it!

This chapter made me giggle and feel like I was a teen again! I love it!!!

The whispering, the girly questions and hounding someone for answers to the latest gossip. To the BROOM CLOSET!!!

*sigh* I just adore it!!

I love the fact that Hermione's protesting, yet loving it...Its making things more realistic, because it happens sometimes...

I loved this "All she wanted to do was feel his lips on hers. But she was jolted back to reality as his hand began to slide over her bum"

I giggled madly over the use of the word 'Bum'! I must be getting old in my young age, but it was cute to me :) Just like when Draco entered the classroom, whistling. I could picture it so clearly and was just grinning like a fool, thinking "You go Draco!"!!!

Author's Response: Heh heh...I giggled when I wrote bum, too. I had considered changing it, but it kept striking me as cute so I left it in :P This chapter was a fun one to write for me, probably because it's been a while since I've been a teen and it amused me to know that I could still depict it accurately, at least in a way. So glad to know you enjoyed it as much as I did!

This chapter is just....wonderful?? lol

I wanted Draco to follow her and he did...I was expecting him to chat to her, but what happened was WAY better!!!

I think this chapter is the best one yet, not because it has a great kiss scene, but I think your story telling improved enormously.

I went from reading a great story, to actually being sucked in, I really felt the emotions of the chapter, I wanted to be Hermione and feel those lips on mine...I know it sounds absurd, but seriously, I was jealous of Hermione in this chapter.

I particularly love Draco in this chapter too. He was almost back to his own self, prior to the war, but still that little change in him...he was able to prove his point, not just by his kiss, but by his words too.

Author's Response: This chapter was actually written very early on...I just had to save it in my archives and kind of "write up to it" in order to make it work. The previous chapters were basically a setting of the foundation for the real meat of the story, which is of course from here on in..;) And I don't blame you...I was a bit jealous of Hermione in this chapter, too!

Again, loving this humourous Draco. Its so not like him, yet its great. It makes me wonder what his real story is, why is he the way that he is now???

I love that Hermione's responding to him, finding the humour..Perhaps its what she's missing....not just Harry or Ron, but knowing that even after everything they have been through, its okay to see the good in the world and she can have a good laugh...even if it means being a 'bad' head girl for a moment ;)

Ron's letter though??? Grrrrrrrrrrrr, I hate it when Ron does that!!! ;)

Author's Response: Well...Ron is a bit insensitive...but he may or may not have a good reason for it... Anyway, as for the humorous Draco--I always found him kind of humorous in the series("Weasley is our King"), it was just much harsher because he was backed up by a group of cronies and his targets were always our favorite Gryffindors. The post-War Draco is still snarky (just ask Professor Slughorn), but his humor isn't as cruel in the absence of his posse and the fact that he's not so keen on inflicting pain so much any more. He's seen enough to last him a lifetime. Remember, the poor guy had to live with Voldemort and the Death Eaters for a while...that DEFINITELY changes a person...

AH, the heady days of raging teenage hormones. I remember them well, WAY BACK in the 'stone age' of the '60's.  Or was that 'stoned age'? No matter, the basics were the same.

Okay, enough of memory lane, let's get down to business, here . . . . poor Hermone is going to blow brain cells worrying about this particular day, isn't she?

And, now Ginny knows something's up.  Aw, jeez, it's going to get REALLY dicey, and the fun part will be that Hermione won't be able to resist Draco and Draco will find out that he is really in love with her and not just in lust!

Betcha!

HE!HE!HE!

Author's Response: Heh heh...those days were a bit far back for me, too! Glad I still remember 'em correctly...lol. And yes, Hermione is dangerously close to short-circuiting, but that may work out rather well for Mr. Malfoy! As for Ginny, that determined little Gryffindor doesn't miss a trick!

Okay, before I review the chapter, I have to be a 'fan girl' first! It just HAS to come out!!

This story is one of the very few stories that made me fall in love with Dramione, that made me 'get' the ship. We don't know WHY draco is different or why Hermione is liking him, its just happening and its all working!!!

I love that your chapters are short. By that, I mean you don't feel the need to have a 4000 worded chapter to tell your story...It makes me feel better, cause my Dramione (first ever too) has been in limbo for 3 yrs, because people wanted more in depth chapters...And I thought I had to give them that! But now I'm here, reading YOUR story and re-discovering WHY I loved my chapters....So much in so few words, and yet, you still swoon!!!

I love what you are doing here, I love your style, I love your Draco and it has inspired me to start writing my Dramione again (yes, its going through a re-write)! Thank you so much for sharing this story with me and the rest of Gluttony!!!

Okay, now about the chapter!!! LOL In a way...I'm adoring the 'normalcy' of this new friendship she's striking up with Draco. Although its weird and he's Draco...he's changed. The war has changed them all, but perhaps Hermione is the only one to allow herself to see it in Draco. And the tugging of the curl when he leaves her at her dorm....just awwwwwwwwwwww :)

Author's Response: Wowee...a fan girl! You just made my night!:) And I'm so glad I could help you out in some small way...I think if the writing's done correctly, you don't need a super-long chapter..."show, don't tell"! Anyway, I also don't believe in answering every question about a character and explaining everything right away, but rather reveal it little by little in layers...that's what draws the reader in, in my humble opinion. :) Most definitely get back to writing that Dramione of yours...I'd love to read it! And thank you so much for leaving such fantastic reviews! They help me out more than you know...

HOT D@#N!

NOw we're getting to the good bit!

I LOVE this story, and I can just picture the two of them doing this little scene, can't you?!?!?! Well, duh, of course yYOU can, you wrote the bloody story!

HE!HE!HE!

 MORE! ASAP!

Author's Response: Worth the wait, I hope! I actually wrote this scene very early on and had to hold on to it until I could get the character development to catch up to it. Boy, was I happy when I could finally post it! And now comes the really fun parts..;)

Name: Holly Ilex (Signed) · Date: 24/11/2008 06:46 am · Chapter: Unusual Responses

OMG! That was the funniest line I've read in AGES!

HE!HE!HE!HE!HE!HE!HE!HE!HE!HE!HE!HE!HE!(giggle attack!)

The Ron's letter FINALLY gets there and he could have just as easily sent a POST CARD!

Bet Draco follows Hermione and 'comforts' her!

Better read on and see!

HE!HE!HE!

Author's Response: I just couldn't let the walrus joke go just yet...way too attached to it! Anyway, yeah, something is definitely up with Ron...wonder what it is??

Name: Holly Ilex (Signed) · Date: 24/11/2008 06:38 am · Chapter: A Temporary Truce

I sense a pattern developing.

But why, oh why, did she write and spill the beans to the witless wonder?  What was she thinking?  That Ron would 'understand'?  That he'd know she's going to be 'faithful'?

NEVER put words on paper that you might end up eating!

Book smart, street stupid!  That's our Hermione!

Slow and steady, Draco, slow and steady! That's my boy!

HE!HE!HE!

Author's Response: Well, Ron's been one of her best friends since she was 11...old habits die hard. I see what you mean, though ;) But Draco's got all the time in the world, and he's used to getting what he wants...heh heh. Thanks again for reviewing!

Name: Elena (Signed) · Date: 24/11/2008 12:41 am · Chapter: A Class Spectacle

Again, I caught your story in the queue, so I apologies for not reviewing all chapters.

I'm loving this Draco of yours...He has changed, yes...but there is a bit of mischief/mystery surrounding him and its making me fall in love with him all over again :)

I'm wondering what you are doing with Ron, though??? And Hermione, while its kinda cute that she's thinking about Ron...Just needs to let Draco help her get over him! LOL

Still enjoying this story...Is there more????

Author's Response: No problem--I'm just glad you're reading it! And of course, reviewing. And I'm glad to hear you love my Draco as much as I do--I got so addicted to writing him that I ended up turning this story into a series! So yes, it IS finished, with at least two sequels to follow and one I'm in the middle of writing and posting at HPFF. (Of course they'll all go up here, too--right now my habit seems to be 3 chapters posted a day here.)And as for Ron...well, it may or may not be what you think...that's all I'm going to say..;)

Name: Holly Ilex (Signed) · Date: 23/11/2008 07:21 pm · Chapter: A Class Spectacle

HA! Right again.

Draco's being subtle and Ron's screwing up by not writing.

Hurray for Ginny!

Let's see what else can happen!?!?!

ONWARD!

HE!HE!HE!

Author's Response: Yeah, you are pretty good at this! Anyway, I'll be posting another 3 chapters tonight--hopefully they'll get through the queue relatively soon...my TA status at HPFF has spoiled me a bit with that! Thanks so much for leaving a review for each chapter!

Name: Holly Ilex (Signed) · Date: 23/11/2008 03:21 pm · Chapter: Speaking and Sleeping

See, I told you!

"I think this the beginning of a beautifull friendship"

I wonder what happpens next . . . if Draco kisses her, then she gets a letter from Ron, will there be MOUNTAINS of angst?  Or will Ron 'witless wonder' Weasley, manage to be such a prat with his reply, that she dumps him and takes a chance on Draco?

HUMMMMM . . . . the possibilities . . .

HE!HE!HE!

Author's Response: Hey, you! Careful! You're giving away my plot here with one of those guesses!! But then again, I'm not going to tell you which one was right...you'll just have to keep on reading..;)

Name: Holly Ilex (Signed) · Date: 23/11/2008 03:13 pm · Chapter: Detention For Two

Well, he didn't exactly apologize, but she didn't tear his head off and spit down his neck, either.  Cautious truce, and a hopeful future, as far as having someone there at Hogwarts who knows what it was really like during the last year.

Okay, that's all for this review.

ONWARD!

HE!HE!HE!

Author's Response: I couldn't see him apologizing--the War may have tempered him a bit, but I don't think he'll ever be "nice". Then again, if he was, it'd take all the fun out of writing him... And thanks for continuing to review! :)

Name: Holly Ilex (Signed) · Date: 23/11/2008 04:49 am · Chapter: Trouble Brewing

Well, let me tell you . . . I would have been rolling on the floor in full blown hysterics.   Draco will probably apologize, which will throw Herimione another curve ball that she'll lose MORE sleep over, I suppose.

As I said, this is getting good.

Just out of curiosity, will we find out how Cissa and Lucius are fairing?   I hope Harry testified in Cissa's defense, if she was put on trial, that she saved his life.  Lucius . . . well, the scientific instrument hasn't been invented that can measure my indifferencs as to what might have happened to THAT schmuck!  NOT my favorite person.

HE!HE!HE!

Author's Response: I love writing Draco Malfoy precisely for things like this. I almost feel sorry for Professor Slughorn...almost! As for Lucius and Narcissa, you won't hear about them in THIS story, but you'll hear a bit about them in the sequel and the 3rd in the series is almost ALL about them. But I can't give away too much too soon...

Name: Elena (Signed) · Date: 23/11/2008 04:43 am · Chapter: Trouble Brewing

Sorry I haven't reviewed the first two chapters, but I read these while they were in the queue :)

I ADORE this chapter. Draco's note made me giggle too and I think you are portraying the characters very well.

I also love Ginny in this chapter, she's very witty and that's how I like her :) I can't wait till you post more!!

Author's Response: Hey, thanks! Glad to hear you like the characters so much--I myself have become so attached to them that I'm currently working on the 4th fic in this series! This one, however, will always be special to me because it was my first--so glad that it is now reaching a whole new audience!

Name: Holly Ilex (Signed) · Date: 23/11/2008 04:39 am · Chapter: An Unexpected Conversation

Ah, the new and 'improved' Draco. Interesting.

Civil converstation, but with a bit of Slytherin nastiness creeping in.

The fact that they agreed about things and had similar reasons for wandering the halls and 'getting away' bodes well for this 'ship', huh?

Betcha it won't be smooth sailing, though, Draco being Draco and Hermione being Hermione. But that's half the fun, isn't it?

HE!HE!HE!

Author's Response: Yep, two victims of Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome. And they're both having a tough time adjusting to life after the War...dare I say that they now share a common ground? And yes, look for plenty of sparks to fly between these two--probably why I love the ship so much! Thanks for reviewing!

Name: Holly Ilex (Signed) · Date: 23/11/2008 04:31 am · Chapter: Out of Place

Jeez Louise, Hermione!  Get a grip!

You ALWAYS overthink EVERYTHING.  Don't you realize that getting back to Hogwarts, sans Harry and Ron, will be the best thing for you?

It's a sure sign of a good story when I start giving advice to fictional characters.  I seem to have fallen straight into this story and will continue as it's looking to be a 'goodie'!

Malfoy . . . . I wonder how he's handling this whole, "my family was on the wrong side but we survived" scenerio?

Well, the only way to find out is get on with it and read chapter 2, huh?

ONWARD!

HE!HE!HE!

Author's Response: Hey--my first review on Gluttony! Thanks so much!! So, I definitely think it's a good sign that you're already advising the characters...guess they come across as believable, hm? ;) And this story is actually finished--it was the first fan fic I ever wrote and I originally posted it on HPFF. I'll be posting here about 3 chapters a day until it's all up. I do feel compelled to warn you, however...it's the first in a series! Thanks so much for giving this story a whirl--being as it was my first, I will always have a soft spot for it and really appreciate hearing new opinions about it!
