If he'd lived, this might have actually happened, I think?

Another great short one, that I very much like.

This is a little gem and I'm glad I found it! Snape's reaction at the end was a nice surprise, and it shows a lot of character development for Neville that he would face up to his "demons" in that way. Great job.

Author's Response: Thank you.  I'm not really into alternate universe stuff, but I liked this challenge and this just sprang from it.  I love when unresolved issues are resolved.  God knows Severus had them, but this was important for Neville.  I'm glad you found it a 'gem', that's a lovely compliment. Cheers!

I really like this! It's very realistic. I review Neville as forgiving Snape (and pretty much everyone else) and going on to become sucessful and kind to everyone. This is a great little snippet!

Author's Response: Thanks, so much Jessi.  I'm glad you thought it was realistic.  It was just something that came to me in response to one of the writing challenges.  I love Neville and I always wanted him and Severus to make amends.  Thanks for reading and reviewing.

A very interesting topic, and a REALLY interesting meeting. Not at all what I would have expected. Such a surprise from the old "Snape who never was." Well done.

Author's Response: Thank you very much.  I'm glad you found the topic and meeting unexpected.  As for the "Snape who never was," I wanted to prove that you could teach an old dog a new trick (Oh, he would hate that analogy, sounds too much like Sirius).  Thanks for reading and reviewing.  Cheers!

I LOVE it, Ginny! And can I tell you, I decided I wanted to be a teacher in 5th grade when I had the teacher from you know where and at 10 years old I thought to myself, I can do a better job than this guy, lmao! Well done dear!

Author's Response: Thanks, girl.  go for you.  You know whats funny I had a Snape-like teacher (really sarcastic, an old crumugeon) and I really liked him.  I thought he was funny, but then again you know me.  I also had an awful Chemistry teacher and I ended up having to teach the subject to myself and I did very well, so in her ineptitude, I learned I could teach and do things myself.  I also had wonderful teachers.  I decided to become a teacher, because my mother was one.  Even she tried to talk me out of it.  Thanks for reading and reviewing.  Cheers!

What a totally bizarre, unimaginable, unlikely, hysterically funny little scenerio.

And Bravo Neville!

But it was also a bit sad, as thinking of Severus as old and frail is just too awful to contemplate.  Gives me the shudders.

But well done!

Author's Response: Thank you, kindly.  I'm so glad you found the humor in it.  This is my first Neville story, I'm glad you enjoyed it.  I usually write Snape, and yes the portrayal of him if he were to have lived was a very dark one.  I have other senerios in my head, but this one seemed realistic in relation to Neville's situation.  Thanks for reading and reviewing.  Cheers!
