Dang it!! A cliffhanger!!

A long one with alot of information. Another white 'dog' and it vanished... and a black 'dog' sniffing around. Is this kid the Pied Piper of strays or something? I'm waiting for the whole possy of Hogsmeade's strays to be following this boy around.

Clever idea with the wand. I would have figured the wolf hair core so there is more to the meaning with the phoenix feathers. Hmmm

Some criptic messages floating between Luna and Harry. Some problem with ash wands hey? Noted and filed for future reference.

Poor Teddy, I'm glad he came out of his depression. It's hard for a kid when they think they are different. They don't realize there are alot of other kids going through similar issues in life. It's how the family and the child handle it which secures a positive (or negative) outcome. I'm glad Teddy's will be positive because he is surrounded by love.

Author's Response: There's a little tidbit in werewolf lore about ash wood. Harry knows this; Luna just points out that an ash wand bit another kid. You'll see what happens with the wand and the phoenix feather combined with wolf hair. There's also a reason that the black "dog" and white "dog" are following him around, too. Thanks for the review!

All of these wolves. What do they want? I know, keep reading and you'll find out. But I notice you are calling them wolves and not werewolves. Are they something else. Hmmmm You know, I'm waiting for Harry to be an animagous. Interesting aspect that werewolves could be social pack animals just like wolves, dogs etc. It will be interesting to see where this is all going. And as for Teddy not walking, he is crawling on all 4's. Just like a dog. Am I onto something there?

I said this before on the review for Unforgiving Moon, some humans don't know how to treat children let alone adults of their own species. And we are supposed to be the intelligent species. Maybe we aren't as intelligent as we think we are and could learn a few things from other species. Even mythical ones.

They want Teddy, don't'cha know? Sorry... hehe

But I notice you are calling them wolves and not werewolves. Are they something else.

They're not werewolves - since they show up with no full moon. Or are they?

Hmmmm You know, I'm waiting for Harry to be an animagous.

Nope.

Interesting aspect that werewolves could be social pack animals just like wolves, dogs etc.

POA - "Werewolves only respond to the call of their own kind." Remember?

Keep in mind he's small and developmentally behind. But you're on the right track.

This is going to come up big once Teddy gets to Hogwarts. Those chapters will have to carry more of a warning in the summaries, too. I won't go into rampant child abuse, but werewolf abuse gets a mention. Thanks for the review, and glad you're with us on this long one!

I had to laugh with the baby search and Harry's fear that Hagrid had him. And Fang 'cleaning' the baby. I like the feeling of panic Harry feels in regards to Teddy. How so like a parent to fret constantly when the child isn't in their presence. I will try to remember all of the 'hints' you provided and see where and when they finally pop back into the story. Oh and Fleur having puppies- hahahaha!!!

Author's Response: Yeah, can't ya just see Fleur having puppies? I laughed at my own wit there. Can't you just see Hagrid with a baby? What would he do, put him in one of his pockets?! ;-) As for Fang cleaning up the baby, well, let's just say that's based on a real life event here.

Having read "Unforgiving Moon", this made more sense, and I also got the whole "Silence of the Lambs" cell set up for the conversation between Harry and Fenrir. But darker, colder and dirtier.

However, that last bit about the white wolf has me REALLY worried. "I've got a bad feeling about this."  And a dreadful idea in the back of my brain as to what's happening with the wolves.  I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

We'll see.

ONWARD!

Author's Response: Thanks, Holly. Glad you got the full effect from the both of them. I always did figure that Azkaban was a dirty place. I think the movies did it justice when they showed it briefly. As for the white wolf, you'll be seeing more of him - and more wolves in general. It's going to very wolfy before it's over with...and it's not done yet!

Oh, this is excellent!  Lots of little hints and I saw a few plot bunnies sticking their wee noses out from between the lines, too!

Longish chapter (5,000+ words, but a quick read)

Author's Response: Thanks. Yeah, some of those bunnies are going to come back later. I'll warn you, the chapters don't get any shorter.

Of course I'm curious as to why the Fat Frier smiled at the reading of Dora Tonks' name. Will this be explained later or am I reading too much into that small exchange? Good thing Gluttony validates quickly. I HATE cliffhangers!!

I enjoyed your description of when Harry held Teddy for the first time. It's always so funny how awkward men can be around infants as though they will break. (Of course McGonagall would give him instructions) And the women are like...seriously, it's just a baby you aren't going to hurt him, just support his head, hold him in your arms and relax. Then the next thing you know, a couple of years go by and the men are rolling all over the ground wrestling with the toddlers and it's the mothers who worry about them getting hurt. Ironic isn't it?

And Harry finally got a chance to let it all out. I'm sure it's something the women were waiting on for a long time. And Ron, with the emotional range of a teaspoon was ready to exit.

The only thing that seemed off was Kreacher. Not necessarily the offer of mutual respect but more so the dialogue. The way he spoke seemed more human than elf. Not that I expect him to sound like Dobby but the conversation sounded more like one Harry would have with another wizard than with an elf. My suggestion to start off would be something like "Kreacher serves the noble House of Black." More of a statement than an inquiry. I don't know if your intent is to show that the elf is realizing his rights etc. but it doesn't fit his character for now. It seems too quick.

It will be interesting to see what you have in store for Teddy. How many chapters are you planning for this long story? Holly's story is 50+ so you have alot of writing to do.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! One thing I have to admit is that I found the whole "elf-speak" thing annoying to no end in CS when Dobby first showed up. It was hard for me to read and comprehend, and it's just impossible for me to write it. I just did the best I could with him. On the other note, yes, he's realizing that Harry and Co. won't treat him like he's used to, and that things have changed. Other than that, I'm glad you like it so far.

FINALLY! A story about the IMMEDIATE aftermath of the battle; the funerals the rebuilding, Kreacher's loyalty settling with Harry and Teddy, meeting Teddy and then Harry finally letting it all out.

Bloody Brilliant!

Now, about this other little detail that Andromeda and Harry have to face. . . . well, it can't be helped, so let's get on with it!

Wonderful start . . . I'm hooked!

Author's Response: Thank you, Holly. Actually, this story is not done yet, as you can see. It's being reposted by request, to here. This sucker could be bigger than DH when it's finally done! I'm glad you liked it. Recently, my first Godson saw the arrival of his first son. I was thinking about him when I wrote this chapter. Now I look at it in a whole new perspective. The arrival of a new baby does change one's life. That's one thing that Harry never did in the series - have the breakdown that's been building since "...Stone." I mean, even Superman had Kryptonite, you know? Thanks again.
