An extremely strong and emotional piece.
One cannot even imagine what it must be like to live your life as Severus Snape. First, being an unloved child to two uncaring, abusive parents. Then, being a target of a group of Gryffindors, seven long years. Finally, seventeen long years spent in constant lies, constant danger, constantly facing the consequences of past deeds.
All this comes down on your reader in this short fic, leaving the latter totally speechless. I applaud you for conveying the emotions in such a magnificent way.

My only comment is that perhaps the song text should be italicized to mark it off more clearly from the story text. Marvelous job.
