I'm glad I read this one second.
I'm very happy about this story and think I'll nominate this for one of the PURE INDULGENCE AWARDS for this year . . . it deserves recognition.
YOU MADE ME CRY!
And that doesn't happen every day . . . but these 2 stories touched me and reminded me how lucky I am to still have my son, in good shape and moving forward with his life, as Iris did.
Bless you for posting this here!
Awww!!! Thanks so much for wanting to nominate it! I'm so glad you enjoyed both stories. I don't cry often during stories either, so I know that means I did a good job with the emotions! Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)
This is quite moving, and the ending is just perfect. Very well done. I liked the transitions, as well; it all fits so well. Some of it hits me a bit close to home, as well, and that part will appeal to any reader for whom you've captured the mood - and you have.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I tried to make the ending hopeful, but not too overly happy. I'm so glad I captured the mood well since I have no experience with anything like this. Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)
