Your line about all the platitudes and even lies at funerals is the hard truth. I've been through enough of them to know that anyone who says "If there's anything I can do for you..." is to be immediately smacked upside the head! It's a great capture of grief and the underlying desire for revenge, too. Well done.

Thanks. I've been to a few funerals myself, I'm glad that my experience wasn't unique.
