Author's Response: Well, Draco seems a lot more snobbish with Harry that he was with the priest but of course him and Harry have a long history. Did I overdo Alastor? Thanks for pointing this out. The guy is pretty paranoid and well, he might have reason to be. Draco will be put in a really bad position in chapter 31. You will see. I promise to update this story very soon.

Author's Response: Oh, you will see more of her later. She really has it in for Harry in a big way. He opposed her too much in OoP so she will try anything in her power to undermine him. Harry and Draco's interaction should be interesting and entertaining (hopefully).
I'll say one thing for Severus; he really is able to think fast and move faster!
Andromeda and Ted are pretty level headed, bless 'em and HOPEFULLY Draco will see reason and follow Severus' plan.

Author's Response: I really enjoyed writing that scene. It was fun. Everyone can see that keeping those two apart is going to be complicated, they expect it to happen let's say. When I read DH I did wonder what would have happened had Ron not interrupted them and had it not been a book suitable for children. lol Draco, well, you will see shortly...
Well, I know this isn't following Canon, so I'm really intrigued by the gifts Albus gave Harry. And why shouldn't he be Secret Keeper?

Author's Response: Like in canon, Dumbledore doesn't leave people stuff for no reason, the pensive will be important and the papers and books he left Hermione. Harry is too young to be leader of the Order but I thought he would make a good secret keeper. He has demonstrated time and time again that he will keep a promise (or secret) no matter what. Yeah, do let me know when you figure out what specifically you didn't like in this chapter. It always helps. Thanks once again.

Author's Response: Oh, I wanted Dumbledore to make an appearance and I thought that Fawkes would have to surface at some point as well. Albus will not be awfully helpful though, cryptic answers and the like. The next chapter will deal with his will.

The person who sent the owl would not be revealed until the very end of the story, which reminds me I must post some more because I seem to have this account pretty abandoned here. I have 31 chapters posted at HPFF which I will copy here soon, hopefully today. I wanted to do the wedding in a way that sounded wizarding. The union of the wands was partly inspired by the Pagan tradition of handfasting but in a very loose way. Your reviews mean a lot, honestly, thanks so much.

Author's Response: Ha,ha! You're going to have to be patient with this one. Yes, they will do it, don't you fear but not for a while yet! But you're right, both their hormones are all over the place. The attraction between them is very, very palpable.
Again, Harry brings it all down to his own personal fault. You really have a good handle on the way he thinks, don't you. Hermione's theory about Dumbledore's death is very good, are you sure you started this before DH? Great minds think along similar tracks, I see. I thought it very fitting of Alastor's character to try and "negotiate" Harry's induction into the Order. And Molly's resistance to her last remaining children joinging was very Molly-esque of her. One of my favorite parts is where Lupin recognizes the natural leadership ability Harry possesses. He immediately throws his support behind him. And I do hope poor Minerva comes back around. A mind as sharp as hers is such a waste to lose.
The wedding was really beautiful. I loved the ceremony, and the wands binding the lovers together. Harry's desire to be bound to Ginny is so touching. He wants to be tied to someone in this world, doesn't he. Great chapter, again.
Author's Response: Thanks so much. I wasn't sure how to start this story but I wanted the first scene to concentrate on someone other than Harry. The idea of the Muggle church and the concept of sanctuary just came to me suddenly and then I realised there and then that this story was going to turn up pretty AU, even if I wrote the first 14 chapters before DH. Petunia well, I always thought the jealousy of her sister was an important factor. You will find out more about her later on.
