I love how Ron and Hermione balance each other out. Both seem to be what the other needs most. This is a very sweet side to Ron, and he handled the female emotions pretty well for a Weasley man. I guess he's done some growing up! Another good chapter.
Author's Response: I think he's been reading that book the twins gave him... "Twelve Fail Safe Ways to Charm Witches" lol. Thanks for reading and reviewing! :o)

It wouldn't have been Ron and Hermione without a little dissension, now would it? That was great. I love those two together, especially when it is done well. They were both spot on in character, and the insecurity in both of them was so realistic. Yay for Ron taking the initiative. Great job!
Author's Response: I adore Ron/Hermione, and no matter how confident Hermione is in most situations, she's never been secure when it comes to Ron. I'd like to think that after all he went through in DH, Ron grew up enough to take a little initiative. Thanks so much for reading!

What if? Two of the most useless, time consuming, energy wasting words ever muttered by otherwise intelligent people.
Coulda, woulda, shoulda are a close second.
As usual, with Hermione, she's got everything in place, so if she'd just stop worrying and GET ON WITH IT!
HE!HE!HE!
OKAY, will wait with as much patience as I can muster for the rest of this story.
Author's Response: They are a waste of time aren't they? And yet I think we all succomb to them at some point in our lives. I know I have, although not nearly as much now as I did when I was younger. I have grand plans for this story...I just need to finish my VoH story first so I can focus on this one (I hate having more than one WIP at a time). Thanks for the lovely reviews. :o)

Well, it's about bloody time!!!!!!!!!!
I thought those two would NEVER get it straight!
Always at cross purposes when they argued, always not quite getting to it, always misunderstanding.
Made you want to take them and bang their heads together! Know what I mean?
OKAY, I see you wrote a continuation chapter....I'm off to read that one, too!
HE!HE!HE!
Author's Response: These two have a hard time just coming out and talking about anything straight. It was enough to drive me nuts, too ;o). Thanks for reading! :o)

Very nicely done, Taryn. I like the way you've portrayed Ron as just a bit more mature than we've come to expect. But he still has his stength of character, and his devotion to Hermione. It's amazing the effect the right woman can have on a man. *smile*
Hermione's portrayal is, I believe, spot on. Little details, such as the little bit at the end about the gnomes, add so much. It's just one of the (many) things you're so good at.
I look forward to the next chapters.
Doug
Author's Response: Thanks so much, Doug...I always look forward to your reviews. You have such a knack for picking up on the little things that I throw in and pointing them out. I'm glad you liked the little tidbit about the gnomes. I think Ron matured a lot after he left Harry & Hermione in DH, but I need to remember to throw in some immature Ron from time to time because Lord knows he didn't mature that much that quickly, lol. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing! :o)

I really thought I had reviewed this chapter- obviously not!!
Anyhow....
The beginning truly brings home the fact of all that they had suffered through Hermione's POV. It was a sad reminder of who they all had lost - and how they had to go through the motions and honor and bury them. Losing friends is never easy - and in war it is even worse.
Then it all comes down to a simple robe - and Ron's love for her. His family's also. I love your Ron - have I mentioned that to you? His blundering, but his obvious love for her shines through this story.
Lovely story dear... and I'm so glad you are continuing it!!
~~juls
Author's Response: Thanks julsie! I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. Ahhh...the robe, big and fluffy, gotta love it! And I don't think you have mentioned you like my Ron...like I told Andy...I just write him the way I want my man to be, lol. Thanks for reading!

Dang, girlfriend.... I LOVE your Ron. So strong, so compassionate- and loving. I also liked how you let Hermione break a little- showing her faults and worries- letting Ron comfort her and be strong for her.
Truly fabulous- and I'm sure Miss Fabulous herself was dancing around the room as she read this. I'm so glad you decided to continue this story.
Looking forward to the next chapter!!

Author's Response: Hermione's a strong woman, but even strong women have moments of doubt and anxiety, and even strong women need a shoulder to lean on from time to time. I'm glad Ron can be that for her. I'm glad I'm continuing on with it, too. I've got some interesting ideas for where to take this, and knowing that it has to end before VoH starts, helps to know it won't get too long.

I know I still haven't reviewed chapter one yet, but you know how it is - good stories need GOOD reviews. So expect two bumper reviews from me at some point. This is just a note of thanks. I love you so much, Taryn! Seriously, this made my day. I could read your Ron endlessly! I'm not so scared of growing up when I know you're just a c-box away and have already dealt with all the problems I might be facing. Thank you sooo much! :D xxx
Author's Response: Happy Birthday!! I'm here whenever you need a little advice...and growing up isn't so bad...it certainly has it's perks! I'm looking forward to your reviews, they always make me smile. Have a wonderful birthday, love! :o)

TARYN!!!!!!!
It's so adorable :) I like this SO much. You managed to get the point across that they've both wanted this forever but without making it clichéd at all. That's quite an accomplishment! And who doesn't love fluff? Well, usually I can't handle much :-P, but once again, you didn't overdo the fluffiness part. It's not unrealistic like fluff can easily be. Overall, it's wonderful :)
Blaire
Author's Response: Blaire...I'm so sorry I didn't notice this until now. Thank you so much! I have a soft spot for fluff ;o). Thanks for reading!

Hey Taryn,
I liked this even better the second time I read it. I liked the way you went back and forth: She's wondering about him, and then he's wondering about her. And if I may say so, I REALLY like your depiction of Ron. He's growing into a fine young man.
One more thing. I think someone else said this in a review, and I agree. I'm glad you didn't have them get together as a couple and immediately have them jump in the sack. They just fought and won a war, they lost friends and family, and they've been dancing around each other, to whatever extent they could, for years. They SHOULDN'T be ready for anything else, just yet.
Now I sound like an old fogey. Oh well. Great oneshot, and nice complement to Foolish... or Not?
Doug
Author's Response: No, you're not an old fogey...just old fashioned, as am I. That's not a bad thing! Hermione doesn't strike me as the "jump in the sack" kind of girl. But I doubt she'd wait years once they come to the conclusion that they're in love, and I certainly doubt Ron would turn her down ;o). Thanks for the comments, I do truly appreciate them! :o)

Oh, this was sweet and funny and a very enjoyable read. I laughed at loud at this section:
“Right then,” he said, still holding her tightly, “which room should we start in?”
Hermione pulled away and looked at him with huge eyes, “What?” she asked incredulously.
Ron laughed out right at the shocked look on her face, “Which room should we start unpacking?”
Author's Response: Thank you for another great review! I liked that little part, too, lol. Thanks again! ;o)

I'm cyber-stalking you! haha... Oh I loved this so much, so adorable, great job on characterization, very sweet and funny. Yay Romione fluff! I love how you show Ron's strong and romantic side, which I don't think most people pick up on because the books show him through Harry's point of view, and of course Harry doesn't notice/see that part of his BFF. Great job!
Author's Response: Oh, thanks Megan!! I'm so glad you came over to check this out. As soon as I'm able to post it on HPFF I will, but I have to wait for the chapter already in the queue to clear before I can post this one. I love that you point out that we don't see as much of Ron's softer side because we're seeing him through Harry. I think that surely he's got to have one ;o). Thanks again! :o)
