The only constant is change, therefore, the laws of physics governing James and Lily's relationship will change.

I never took physics, but that's the beauty of it, as far as I can tell . . there are certains basic fundamentals, but ever changing circumstances that 'bend' the laws a bit ( take a ride in the 'vomit comit' to experience weightlessness and then talk to me about gravity).

Besides, we all know that they got together in the end. Gravity - she finally fell for him!

What an amazing idea! This is only my second story of yours, and I'm already noticing how original you are. You take canon, overwritten pairings and make them new again, in such wonderful ways!

I especially love this. It kind of shows another aspect of James's mind, in that he's not a bumbling idiot whose only thought is Lily's looks and who can only think of her in a mushy, passionate, angsty way. This shows him as more intelligent than that, and his logic is certainly emotional, but something that doesn't destroy him just thinking it. I hope that made sense, but either way, know that I love this and am definitely going to read more of your work!

This is a very different take on a James/Lily story. I loved the contrast between the Physics theories and James's theories. That was brilliant. This story shows such intelligent thought and construction, to look at each law and translate it into something that a normal person can relate to. It was done very well, and after reading so many cliche' 'she hates him, he loves her' stories, this is a refreshing twist.

Author's Response: I'm glad you think it's original, because I think that's so important and I really wanted to stray away from the norm with this piece. Honestly, I really don't read a lot of James/Lily because of exactly what you mentioned. I'm thrilled that you enjoyed the take on physics vs. James. Thank you so much for reviewing!

You really are a great writer and I love your work. It's so unique and I loved this take on the Lily/James ship. I loved James's opinion on things and I loved how it all came together at the end. Great story!

Author's Response: Aw, thank you so much! It means a lot to me that you think I’m a good writer, and I’m so happy you liked the story! This and Parallel Lines are the only James/Lily stories I’ve written, and I’ve enjoyed it quite a lot. Thanks again, Jamie!

I'm taking the liberty to read this story again...and I'd forgotten how bloody brilliant it is!  Truly Rose, this is amazing.  I don't understand much about physics, but I can understand James' version of it.  The segment about space, how there's so little, yet so much between them, gosh I know that feeling.  Really, a phenomenal piece...you should post the Parallel Lines piece over here, too.

Author's Response: Aw, thank you so much, Taryn! This is one of my favorites I've written, so I'm so glad that you liked it (again! ;) ) I really tried hard to manipulate the physics parts and twist them into concepts James would think about.rnrnI've been thinking about putting some more of my stories up here, and I think I will.rnrnThanks again, Taryn! I really appreciate it!

You packed quite a lot of atmosphere into a short one-shot.  I enjoyed the counterpoint of the cold facts of physics against the more emotional and warmer details of Lily's appearance and personality.  I enjoy your writing and look forward to reading more.

Author's Response: Thanks, Ginny! This one-shot is one of my favorites, so I'm glad you enjoyed. Thank you for reviewing. : )
